pada mulanya saya was2 jugak nak guna cloth diapers ni saya takut tak tahan lama bocorrrr je dan saya takut kalau2 bby iman dapat ruam...pada awal kelahiran(minggu pertama) iman saya pakaikan pampers pakai buang mami poko..naik ruam yg teruk...kesian bby iman mmg nmpak kesakitan bila basah...macam2 kaedah yg saya cuba, pakai krim ruam lampin lah,mak saya kata cuba buat tepung ubi tapi tetap sama jugak...sehinggalah saya terjumpa bettermoms bamboo cloth diapers on9 shop ni kat fb...selain dari design yg sangat comel BBCD ni murah...berbaloi saya beli,tak sampai seminggu ruam lampin Iman hilang alhamdulilah senang hatikan...selain menjimatkan Bettermoms Bamboo cloth Diapers ni sangat senang dicuci hanya pakai sabun cuci pinggan sunlight je...murahkan tak yah pakai sabun mahal2 dan yg paling saya suka Bamboo cloth Diapers ni cepat kering walaupun waktu hujan, masuk je dalam mesin basuh sidai kat branda rumah tak yah susah hati sbb hari hujan...mmg berbaloi dab sangat2 puas hati...tgk jelah gambar iman kat bawah ni=D

Teringat kembali kali pertama membeli cd apabila membaca mengenai contest ni. cd pertama pilihan ku adalah cd bamboo charcoal dari bettermoms cloth diapers.. 8 keping ku borong masa tu. masa tu budget cuma cukup utk beli 8 cd jer.. perancangan awal ingin di gunakan untuk anakku yg kedua (3tahun) sahaja yang berkulit sensitif, tapi akhirnya kini adikknya 11 bulan yang guna. kebetulan cuttingnya amat sesuai sekali dengan adikknya.

Pada permulaan pemakaian cd, habis naik ruam Ainu (adik). Pelik juga, kerana Ainu kulitnya tidak sensitif seperti kakaknya. Mula-mula 3jam sekali ku tukar cd nya. Selepas itu jadi setiap 2 jam sekali. Hampir dua minggu juga naik ruam. Kesian ku tengok ainu.. mengaru-garu setiap kali ku buka cd nya. Takkan la bamboo charcoal tidak sesuai kot... ku cuba lg baca comment ibu-ibu di MCDP.. sebelum ini ku guna mesin basuh jer apabila membasuh cd. Akhirnya ku ambil keputusan basuh guna tangan jer cd Ainu.. rasanya ruam dia terjadi sebab terlebih letak sabun. Kebaikkan basuh guna tangan ni kita tau bilasan kita betul-betul sudah bersih. guna mesin basuh hanya untuk spin jer. Selepas tu barulah kulit ainu ok... memang perlu tau banyak perkara juga sebelum ber cd ni.. Dah hampir sebulan guna cd, aku buat stripwash pulak. guna sunlight jer.. Alhamdulillah cd semakin ok serapannya.

Selepas itu aku ada beli 2/3 keping cd dari brand lain. Tapi cuttingnya tidak sesedap memakai cd babyland ni. Tqvm bettermoms... insert bamboo charcoal pula senang serap air dan cepat pula kering berbanding insert mikrofiber dan insert zorbII. Sekarang ni aku tengah berkira-kira hendak menambah stok cd dan insert bamboo charcoal ku. Harap-harap ada budget untuk beli lagi. cd Ainu pun hanya cukup untuk 2 hari jer. Suamiku baru-baru ini memuji mengatakan cd ni jimat. Tak payah beli bulan-bulan macam dd dulu. Design pun cantik-cantik belaka.

Apa-apa pun aku ingin mengucapkan terima kasih kepada bettermoms. Memang rasa berbaloi beli cd bamboo charcoal ni... ^_^

Bamboo terry
... always described having texture like towel.
Hence it function also like towel, good and quick absorbent.
Bamboo terry also have many composition of material, in different percentages too, however let me story about what I know most, bamboo terry for Tinky By Bettermoms cloth diapers.

Bamboo terry inner for Tinky CD made from 100% bamboo, however for it's durability, it's woven with a polyester base ( the composition of polyester is less than 5 %). The fine loop appearance and structure give it's more surface to absorb.

Bamboo charcoal inner, specifically for babyland, have polyester composition for about 30%. Made into fleece, it has feel drier compare to terry ( or even velour, bamboo cotton etc), hence called bamboo material that 'stay dry'.

Both material with it's unique property give user a choice which property they like most. Now let's discuss regarding their unique features.

For most, they relate the stay dry effect with longer hour baby in diapers. Some mom like this and some do not. For those mommies that baby's skin not so sensitive, and time is very limited to permit then to change diapers less than 4 hours, they opt for stay dry effect. Esp for babies less than 6-7month where they pee frequently.

Some baby cannot tolerate wet situation, this type of baby usually they are not complaining much when their diapers is wet, and if we did not change it about 2-3 hours after they had wetted their diapers, some may develop rash also.

Some mothers do not want this stay dry effect, as with the stay dry effect, they did not realize baby pee as baby will feel dry, and they tend to prolong baby hours in diaper, where as, other material such as bamboo cotton, terry or velour will felt some discomfort sensation to baby and this let mothers know it's time to change the diapers.

Also when baby become toddler ( 1 yr above) , many mothers opt for non-stay dry effect, as toddlers pee less frequent, but pee a lot more at 1 time compare during babies. If using stay dry diapers, child will feel very comfortable as it is dry. And mom also do not know when to change until child stinks with urine already. If using non-stay dry, child will learn faster that when they pee, it's uncomfortable and need to change, later they will be toilet trained faster.

Non stay dry also avoid babies/ child in babysitter house or daycare left without changing the nappies, as when babies or child feel wet at he bottom, they will usually make noise and complaint, and that's how they get their diapers change when soiled.

But whatever said, written, told, mother knows what is he best for their kids, both is qood in different situation, so do other material, and whatever decision to use whichever material, there is no right or wrong answer as long as the child is fine ^_^

Care for Bamboo Cloth Diapers

1st time when you get the CD’s – Prewash

1. Prewash to remove natural bamboo oils. Best prewash is 6 times with warm water, the first wash can use a bit of detergent.

2. In between each wash, no need to wait the CD and insert to become dry, meaning prewash can be done continuously.

How to keep cloth diapers before laundry day

1. Wash any poops or pee with jet sprayed water. ( Yes, even pee have to be wash away with jet spray water to avoid toxic wee syndrome)

· What is Toxic wee?
Some children can have extremely acidic urine (especially when teething) that will deteriorate fabric and damage elastic, creating massive holes in the diapers/soakers/boosters. This occur especially during teething period.

2. If your laundry day is more than 24 hours each time, hang the CD’s and inserts. This to prevent molds.

3. If you do your laundry everyday, it is okay to collect it in a pail without hanging/ drying it.

How to wash Bamboo CD

1. Handwash is the best, use detergent without enzyme and softeners. Use ¼-1/2 amount of the normal washing amount. Make sure to rinse well with water to avoid detergent build up

2. Washing Machine wash also not a problem! Adjust for a delicate / gentle setting.

Stripwash – When your CD’s start leaking after using it for some times

1. After some times of using CD’s (usually 6 month and above), sometimes the CD’s start leaking and smell bad even after wash. This due to detergent build up.

2. For inserts: Soak in warm water mix with sodium bicarbonat (not boiling!) for 1 hour. If the build up is bad, leave it soaked for several hours. After that, wash with cold water few cycle. Then for second last cycle, just add a little amount of white vinegar. After that rinse well and hang dry.

3. For CD’s, wash the inner layer with diluted sodum bicarbonat/ dishwashing liquid. Rinse well and hang dry.

Caring for PUL Material: The "What-Not-To-Do" Guide

Caring for your PUL Material is as easy as caring for most of your other garments. PUL Fabric is durable enough to handle multiple washings and is safe to dry in the dryer, even on high heat! When caring for your laminated fabrics follows these simple rules:

PUL Fabric should never be washed with harsh chemical detergents Always wash your pul material items in a gentle, mild or "free" detergent. I have used Rockin' Green on my diapers and I LOVE it. You can always add a 1/2 cup of vinegar or baking soda (or both!) if you need to get a stubborn odor out of your cloth diapers. PUL was originally made for the medical industry and was designed to be capable of disinfecting in high temperature water. Instead of adding chemicals to the water, increase the temperature of the wash water. If you can't do that, add a gallon or so of boiling water to the washer when you clean your pul fabric garments. When you buy pul fabric you can be certain you are getting a lasting, hearty and dependable product.

PUL Dries best on high heat That's right. You can dry your PUL on high heat. The temperature of the dryer will never reach a heat high enough to melt the fabric. Again, PUL was designed to be used in hospitals where it is important for the materials to be durable and easy to manage, not to mention easy to clean and disinfect. PUL can also be dried on the clothes line. You will want to spin the fabric in the washer really well or wipe excess moisture from the PUL side of the fabric before line drying to avoid any lingering water which could cause odor problems.

PUL Fabric should never be used with fabric softeners in the wash In terms of chemical enhancers and cleaners, fabric softener falls into this category as well. Well, lets be a little more realistic. It is not recommended that cloth diapers made with pul be used with fabric softener. Other items, ones that won't be coming in contact with a child's skin are fine to use with fabric softener. If you must use a fabric softener in your pul wash, try baking soda. It's a natural fabric softener.

PUL that is stored in a wet bag or closed diaper pail for long periods of time should be washed with baking soda or OxyClean in the wash cycle PUL is a type of plastic. It is porous, especially the breathable kind. PUL will mildew and or grow mold if left wet for long periods of time. The pul will also absorb odor just like any other plastic that is improperly used. When you buy your pul, plan ahead and get a supply of oxidizing cleaning agent to have in your wash room. This will help with odor buildup and clean your pul safely.

PUL fabric that isn't getting clean enough needs more water. From my experience, pul that doesn't seem like it is getting clean enough in the wash doesn't need more chemicals, it needs more water. Consider doing a cold soak, a rinse and spin then a regular wash on hot.

Bamboo terry

Bamboo, among the fastest growing plant ..

Bamboo terry is fabrics that have small loops on the surface. (Think of your bathroom towels).

The looping creates more surface area on the fabric, which makes terry diapers very absorbent.

Terry is also soft and durable. It can be used as either an outer layer or inner layer - I use it to make inner of Tinky CD by Bettermoms

Bamboo velour.
This soft, creamy fabric is primarily used for the outer or innermost layer of diapers.
It does not have wicking properties like synthetic fabrics such as fleece or suedecloth, but it holds moisture very well and still feels comfortable when wet.

1. Antibacterial property for bamboo fabric will be wash out?

Bamboo fibers contain a natural substance called bamboo kun, which provides antibacterial properties to the plant. This substance is present even after the fibers are processed into fabric. According to a study done by the Japanese Textile Inspection Association, the antibacterial properties of 100 percent bamboo fabric are still 70 percent effective after being washed 50 times.The antibacterial properties not only aid in killing disease causing bacteria, but are useful in preventing odors as well.

2. Antifungal? Mold resistant?

Bamboo fabrics are also anti-fungal. According to Bamboo Home USA, a study on 50 athletes foot sufferers proved that wearing bamboo socks can eliminate athletes foot with no adverse effects. Participants in the study experienced less severe symptoms after two days and a complete recovery within six days of wearing the socks.

That is why less mold problem with 100% bamboo material.

Other fabrics for cloth diapers

Fleece is 100% polyester and comes in a variety of thicknesses, or "weights". Heavyweight fleece like Windprohas waterproof qualities which make it great for diaper covers and diaper outer layers or covers. Lightweight fleece likemicrofleece wicks moisture away for a stay-dry diaper inner.

Hemp is a hardworking cloth diaper fabric!

Microfiber is usually 75% polyester 25% polyamide, and is a great diaper fabric for soakers and inners. It traps moisture between its fibers and can absorb up to 8 times its weight in liquid! Light and thin, microfiber dries quickly and gets more absorbent with use. Avoid using microfiber next to baby because it can dry out baby's skin.

Microfleece is 100% polyester and a moisture-wicking diaper fabric. It is used next to baby's skin to keep baby feeling dry and comfortable.

Burley Knit Terry, or BKT, is a super-absorbent diaper fabric. It is a stretchy knit terry fabric with longer and thicker loops than regular terry. Because BKT is so thick it's highly absorbent, but may be bulky if used for an entire diaper. However it's perfect for soakers, inserts and plush wipes.

Tips Penjagaan Kebersihan

1. Untuk bayi berusia 6 bulan dan ke bawah, jangan biarkan bayi anda memakai diapers melebihi 6 jam tanpa ditukar. Bayi berusia 6 bulan ke bawah memerlukan penjagaan kebersihan 3 kali ganda berbanding bayi berusia 6 bulan ke atas.

2. Jangan lewat menukar diapers anak anda melebihi 15 minit selepas dia membuang air besar. Ia boleh menjadi punca alahan kulit. Ini kerana apabila najis bayi dibiarkan lama, ia akan bertindak balas dengan air kencing dan menyebabkan ruam pada kulit bayi terutama yang memakai diapers dari jenis plastik (bukan breathable).

3. Galakkan anak anda ke bilik air sebaik sahaja usianya mencecah 2 tahun. Pemakaian diapers tidak seharusnya berlanjutan. Anak anda perlu dilatih lebih awal untuk memudahkan aturan sistem pembuangan yang baik.

4. Diapers yang baik adalah diapers yang memiliki kadar resapan yang tinggi. Ini kerana setiap titis air kencing yang mengalir di kulit boleh mengundang risiko jangkitan kuman.

5. Jangan taburkan bedak pada alat sulit bayi, terutamanya bayi perempuan kerana ia boleh memudaratkan saluran pembuangan air kecil. Adalah lebih baik menggunakan krim kerana bedak juga boleh mengganggu kadar resapan cecair pada diapers.

Kelebihannya mudah dipakai, seolah2 memakai pampers pakai buang. Konsepnya telah diketahui umum. Penggunaannya sesuai untuk mereka yang baru berjinak2 dgn cloth diapers, untuk babysitter, untuk father, grandparents etc. Ia juga sesuai digunakan waktu malam kerana untuk menukar diapers di tengah malam, lebih mudah dan kurang mengganggu anak tidur berbanding button.

Kekurangannya jika tidak dijaga dengan betul (tidak disemat dgn laundry tab, habuk2 dan benang dibiarkan melekat), kekuatan melekat akan berkurangan dengan masa – bandingkan/ ibaratkan dgn pita pelekat utk kasut sekolah

Kelebihannya tidak mudah dibuka oleh anak2 berbanding velcro. Juga penjagaan lebih mudah sedikit kerana semasa basuh tidak perlu dilekatkan, tetapi jika direntap dengan kasar selalu, button juga boleh koyak atau tercabut (kalau tak betul cara guna mmg apa2 pun senang rosak) :)

Did you know? Improper wash and care will shorten your diaper's lifespan!

Washing & caring tips for bamboo diaper:

1. Avoid forced scrub, wring/twist the fabric

Bamboo fiber lose some strength when they're soaking wet. Do not scrub too hard or wring or twist the fabric. It will lead to shortened life. Laundry net is recommended if you choose to machine wash your diaper.

2. Avoid sharp objects

Due of its water absorption, wet bamboo fabric increase its weight significantly. If it is hung on the nails, hooks and other sharp objects, it will cause some of the local fibers to fracture easily. Line or flat dry is highly recommended!

3. Avoid high temperature

The maximum temperature for bamboo fabric is only up to 60 degC. We recommend cool/warm water, no hotter than warm (up to 40 degC). Line or flat dry when possible. If you need to tumble dry, please do on low setting (only gentle and cool cycle).

4. Do not boil or soak bamboo fabric in hot boiled water

STOP boiling or soaking in hot boiled water! It will break down your bamboo fabric and shorten it's lifespan!

5. Avoid high concentration of alkaline cleaning agent

Bamboo fiber fabric is delicate and does not withstand strong detergent. Most of the regular detergent in the market is too harsh on bamboo fabric and your baby delicate skin! So be sure to only use a mild cleaning agent when washing bamboo diapers.

6. IMPORTANT: Do not use fabric softeners, as these contain harsh chemicals that will alter the bamboo fabric.

7. Line drying in the sun is best. Machine drying is ok but don’t over do it! Over drying can result in damaged fabrics.

Bamboo fabric is delicate. Please take good care of your bamboo diapers. Always follow manufacturer's washing instructions.

Sodium polyacrylate - Bahan ini dimasukkan ke dalam lampin pakai buang untuk membuatnya menyerap dengan banyak. Ia akan bertukar kepada gel apabila basah. Ia boleh menyebabkan kulit bayi menjadi kemerah-merahan sekiranya lampin lambat ditukar.

TRIBUTYL TIN (TBT) - Dilabel sebagai environmental pollutant dan sangat toksik. Ia boleh menganggu sistem hormon dan imunisasi badan.

Kes ruam lampin yang kian meningkat - Menurut Journal of Pediatrics, 54% dari bayi berumur 1 bulan yang menggunakan lampin pakai buang mendapat ruam lampin.

Kajian perubatan lain pula telah mendapati bahawa kes ruam lampin telah meningkat dari 7% ke 78% dari tahun 1955 ke 1991. Ini dikatakan selari dengan peningkatan penggunaan lampin pakai buang.

Sebab-sebab yang ruam lampin adalah alahan, kekurangan pengudaraan di dalam lampin, kepanasan, dan bayi tidak ditukar lampinnya dengan kerap kerana bayi tidak merasai kebasahan sebagaimana memakai lampin kain.

Ia adalah bahaya kerana membiarkan bayi memakai lampin yang sama sehingga berjam-jam akan menyebabkan bakteria bertindakbalas dengan ammonia dalam air kencing, dan menyebabkan ruam lampin.

Lampin Pakai Buang juga dikaitkan dengan Asma (lelah) - Satu kajian yang dijalankan di Jerman pada tahun 2000 telah mendapati bahawa lampin pakai buang menaikkan suhu sekitar skrotum dan boleh menjadi punca rosaknya mekanisma penyejukan yang semulajadi.

Ia boleh memberi kesan kepada kesuburan pada masa akan datang.

2. Isu Alam Sekitar

Tahukah anda sehelai lampin pakai buang mengambil masa sehingga 500 tahun untuk terurai?

Lebih dari 27 juta lampin pakai buang sampai ke tempat longgokan sampah di serata dunia.

Di rumah yang mempunyai anak kecil, lampin pakai buang menyumbang 50% dari keseluruhan sampah yang dikeluarkan dari rumah itu.

Lampin pakai buang akan mencemarkan air dan menyebabkan penyakit apabila terkumpul dengan banyaknya di tempat longgokan sampah.

Penggunaan lampin pakai buang merupakan kos berterusan dan sangat mahal apabila dicongak balik, lebih-lebih lagi bagi keluarga yang mempunyai lebih dari seorang anak kecil yang memakai lampin.

Penjimatan kos dengan menggunakan lampin kain dapat dilihat dalam perbandingan di bawah:

Kos bagi lampin pakai buang

Andaikan anak anda menggunakan 6 lampin pakai-buang sehari dalam 2 bulan pertama (bayi dalam pantang biasanya lebih banyak membuang air) dan 5 keping lampin pakai-buang pada bulan-bulan seterusnya pada kos RM0.60 setiap satu.

2 bulan pertama: 6pcs x RM0.60 x 60 hari = RM216
10 bulan seterusnya: 5pcs x RM0.60 x 30 hari x 10 bulan = RM900
Jumlah Penggunaan setahun: RM216 + RM 900 = RM1,116

2 tahun berikutnya: 5pcs x RM0.60 X 365 hari x 2 tahun = RM2,190
Jumlah penggunaan 3 tahun: RM1,116 + RM2,190 = RM3,306

Kos menggunakan lampin kain (CD)

Untuk kemudahan anda, anda perlu menggunakan sekurang-kurangnya 12 helai, jika anda ingin mencucinya setiap hari.
Untuk CD lebih tahan lama, disarankan menggunakan 24 helai CD:-

12 helai CD: 12pcs x RM30 = R360
24 helai CD: 24pcs x RM35 = RM720 SAHAJA!!

Why is the fuss of using bamboo/ bamboo charcoal insert?
Because by using bamboo/ bamboo charcoal insert, the insert can be put in the pocket and also on top of the pocket (ai2 style).

Who and why want to use ai2 style?

First, it will benefit for newborn. As we know newborn will poo and pee more frequent. So it will be a lot to wash if we have to change diaper cover each time. Now, we will put the insert on top of pocket, each time baby poo/ pee we can just change the insert easily. Maybe we change insert 2 hrly. And the diaper cover can be use up to 6 hour ( as the quantity of pee and poo is less, it will not soiled the cover).

Second, if we are travelling. Easy if we put the insert on top of pocket if we are about to travel for a long time e.g during hari raya. Easier to clean, just throw insert into wetbag, cover can be use up to 6 hour. But this not recommended for toddlers.

Current ai2 style mostly still expensive. Now by using babyland bamboo charcoal cloth diapers with bamboo charcoal insert, we get both pocket style and ai2 style.

Pocket style important for toddlers esp during travelling as we will put insert in the pocket to make sure it stay in place. Pocket also allow to put double insert in place for more absorption capability. And cutting babyland which is not to big, will give a compact and trim design so even with double insert it will not look so bulky.

So , latest design can be use as both ai2 and pocket, hope this will make cd-ing more enjoyable :)

saya merupakan seorang ibu bekerja. saya bekerja shift samada petang,pagi atau malam. waktu kerja pula 7 jam , 10 jam atau 14 jam sehari atau oncall bergantung pada jadual tugas. saya telah full cloth diapering selama setahun lebih...walaupun bermula agak lewat iaitu selapas nak berumur setahun lebih.

Sebelum menggunakan CD anak saya menggunakan lampin flat tradisional sahaja kerana anak saya sangat allergic dengan disposable diaper..walau pun begitu saya pakai juga DD jika untuk travelling atau outing (jenama mamypoko,huggies ultra)--kesannya--anak saya akan timbul ruam yg sangat teruk hingga pada suatu ketika berair dan di jangkiti candida..

Anak saya akan dapat rashes even hanya selapas sekali berDD apatah lagi jika seharian di BS/ travelling...saya berhabis duit juga untuk rawatan kulitnya. namun doctor juga menasihatkan tiada jalan lain kecuali jangan pakaikan disposable diapers..lagipun rawatan menggunak krim steroid juga ada kesan sampingannya...

Disebabkan sudah terbiasa dengan lampin flat--saya terus berlampin kain tradisional..lagipun belum terbuka lagi mengenai CD walaupun pernah terbaca mengenai CD.

Pada suatu hari saya terjumpa CD di jual di kedai--CD pertama saya ialah myeconappy..sejak itu masalah rashes berkurangan..kemudian saya terus membeli Cd lunatot kerana kebetulan butik lunatot baru di buka berdekatan rumah saya...kemudian kebetulan saya baru membuka akaun FB n search mengenai clothdiaper (sebelum tu sebuk bekerja n menguruskan anak-maklumlah pakai lampin flat -sehari sedozen kut).

Melalui perbincangan dengan kawan FB barulah saya belajar mengenai jenis2 dan system berCD serta cara penjagaan...rupanya anak saya cuma sesuai dengan bamboo sahaja.

Saya mula menjadi pengguna bamboo tegar dan anak saya totally sembuh dr rashes.

Saya sangat lega dan bersyukur di temukan dengan CD..selain dari hypoalergenic Cd juga sangat cute untuk si manja saya...

CARA BASUH CLOTH DIAPER (CD)

1. Basuh dahulu cloth diaper (CD) dan 'insert' (3 kali
prewash) yang pertama kali hendak digunakan. Tidak perlu
di berus, basuh menggunakan tangan, gunakan sedikit saja
sabun (lebih elok guna sabun kain jenis kurang buih. tidak
mengandungi enzyme (contoh enzyme pewangi atau enzyme
pemutih) kerana sesetengah bayi mempunyai kulit yang
sangat sensitif Bilas, perah dan jemur hingga kering.
Sabun yg sesuai: Pureen HAD.

2. Masukkan 'insert' ke dalam poket CD. bagi yang menggunakan insert bamboo charcoal, terpulang untuk dimasukkan ke dalam pocket atau diletakkan di atas poket ('Insert' yang dibuat bamboo charcoal oleh menyentuh kulit bayi, berbeza dari insert microfiber yang tidak boleh diletakkan secara terus
menyentuh kulit bayi kerana kuasa serapannya yang kuat
akan menyerap lembapan semulajadi pada kulit bayi).

3. Pastikan insert ditolak kemas sampai ke bahagian depan (terutama
kalau bayi lelaki) . Boleh digunakan sehingga 4 jam atau 4
kali basahan (sama seperti lampin pakai buang).

4. Bagi bayi yang 'heavy wetter', boleh dimasukkan dua 'inserts' ke dalam
poket CD. Insert kedua boleh diganti dengan kain napkin biasa juga.

3. Sebelum dibasuh, keluarkan 'insert' dari CD. Sekiranya
tidak ada najis, bilas dan boleh terus dibasuh dengan tangan
(berus tidak digalakkan terutama berus sabut) atau
dimasukkan ke dalam mesin basuh ( seelok-eloknya dimasukkan ke dalam jaring kain (laundry net) supaya CD lebih tahan lama). Kurangkan sukatan sabun
(1/4 daripada sukatan biasa).

4. JANGAN masukkan 'softener' atau clorox semasa
membasuh kerana 'softener' boleh mengurangkan daya
serapan dan clorox boleh merosakkan CD/'insert'. Sekiranya
ada najis, buangkan dahulu ke lubang tandas dengan
pancuran air paip dan bilas dengan air sebelum dimasukkan
ke mesin basuh. Anda boleh menggunakan cecair basuh
pinggan (contohnya 'Sunlight') pada 'microfleece' untuk
menanggalkan wama kekuningan (kesan najis) sekiranya ada.
Sekiranya CD tidak sempat dibasuh terus, tinggalkan saja di
dalam baldi kering tanpa perlu direndam dan boleh dibasuh
kemudian.

5. Bagi 'insert', sekiranya sudah lama digunakan dan nampak kekuningan, JANGAN gunakan clorox untuk memutihkanya. Boleh diperahkan limau nipis pada 'insert' yang basah dan ditinggalkan seketika sebelum dibasuh. Ataupun boleh dicampurkan sedikit bikabonat soda semasa membasuh kemudian dibilas dengan air yang dicampurkan dengan sedikit cuka tetapi JANGAN dibuat pada CD kerana cuka boleh merosakkan PUL (material sebelah luar CD) yang boleh mengakibatkan kebocoran.

6. BILA DAH KERAP LEAK baru lakukan 'stripping' iaitu dengan membersihkan bahagian dalam dan luar 'microfleece' dengan sabun basuh pinggan yang elok kuasa tanggal minyaknya contohnya 'Sunlight', kemudian dibilas bersih-bersih supaya 'microfleece' dapat berfungsi dengan baik. Biasanya apabila CD sudah lama digunakan dan nampak seperti 'microfleece' kurang menyerap dan air kencing keluar mengikut tepi CD. maknanya 'stripping' perlu dilakukan untuk mengeluarkan kekotoran halus atau mendapan sabun yang mungkin terperangkap pada 'microfleece'.

Why i specifically promoting bamboo cloth diapers?

There are a lot of cloth diapers nowadays.
A lot of choices, with different material. But whi i specifically choose bamboo?

Pertama, sebab saya dah tertarik dengan kelebihan bamboo itu sendiri, kepada bayi dan kepada environment.

Kedua sebab saya dah experience sendiri penggunaan bamboo dan penggunaan microfiber cotton, beza dari segi penyerapan dan pengawalan kepanasan/ pengaliran udara kepada punggung bayi.

Ketiga kerana kelembutannya, yang paling penting dari segi kelembutan adalah bahagian inner yang akan menyentuh punggung bayi. Suka sangat tengok that healthy bum :)

Keempat kerana walaupun agak mahal daripada yanglain tetapi masih mampu dimiliki. Dan dibandingkan dengan kelebihan2 yang ada mmg worth the money!

Kelima sbb walaupun saya tak tukar pampers baby lama ( malam sehingga 8 jam kadang2 kerana maknyer letih tertido :p ), alhamdulillah tak de diaper rash so far.

Nak pakai cd dari newborn? Boleh ke?

Beberapa customer ada bertanya. Saya nak pakaikan anak cd tapi anak masih kecil, batu 2 bulan, boleh ke?

Jawapannya BOLEH sesangat!!!

Tapi.. Ada tricknya.

Pertama, baby yang baru lahir ni berak banyak kali. Kadang tengah tukarpampers pun boleh berak. So kalau pakai pampers pakai buang mmg banyak. Masa my first daughter dulu seminggu satu pack pampers. Tapi kalau nak pakai cd, nanti banyak pulak nak basuh.

One if the trip
Jangan guna insert dahulu, guna kain napkin biasa yang boleh beli kat supermarket biasa, lipat dan letak DIATAS cd, bukan dalam pocket cd.

Kalau baby berak sikit atau kencing sikit, tak kotorkan cd lagi boleh buang yang napkin atas tu ganti napkin baru dan guna cd yg sama. Ini biasa terjadi bagi baby dalam pantang. Lagipun napkin cepat kering

Bila dah habis pantang dah kurang berak tapi still baby agak kecil kalau nak pakai double insert, sini pentingnya pakai cd bamboo dimana daya serapan lebih cepat dan kapasity serapan lebih byk, so malam pun boleh pakai satu insert sahaja, takdelah bulky baby nyer bum :).

Setakat ni baby sy almost 3 month pakai datu insert malam malam blum pernah bocor, by the time kena pakai dua insert nanti, baby pun dah besar :)
